Neev (excited):
Welcome….  The Pandavas have been waiting for a long time - .
Twelve years of walking, waiting, training,… and missing Arjuna.

Co-host: Yes! Though it seems like only 4 of the 5 pandavas were dealing with all the walking and waiting! And listening to stories along the way!

Neev: Yeah, but now?
He was finally back — and he wasn’t just back from some trip.
He was glowing. Radiant. Armed with divine weapons from the heavens.

Co-host:
Oof. That’s a lot of pressure to live up to.
I mean, imagine returning from camp with homework, and your brothers are like — “Hey, we need you to defeat evil and reclaim our kingdom.”

Neev (laughs):
Not exactly the same — but yeah, Arjuna came back just in time.
Because not everyone had learned their lesson…

Co-host:
 Let me guess… Duryodhana?

Neev:
 Bingo.
In this episode, we’ll hear about a royal rescue, an unwanted proposal, and a whole lot of humiliation — for people who definitely deserved it.

Let’s get into it.

Neev (with growing excitement):
One ordinary day in the forest, the Pandavas were going about their usual routines.
 Cooking, meditating, gathering firewood…
It had been five long years since Arjuna left to collect divine weapons from the gods.

Co-host (teasing):
I bet Bhima was like: “How many years does it take to pick up some celestial bows, bro?” 😅

Neev (chuckles):
 Suddenly — the sky shimmered.

Out of nowhere, a golden chariot descended through the clouds…
Glowing, radiant — with Indra’s own banner fluttering in the wind.

Co-host (in awe):
 Wait—was Arjuna riding in Indra’s chariot?! 👀

Neev (grinning):
Yup. The moment they saw him, the Pandavas RAN toward him.
There he was — Arjuna, back from the heavens, covered in jewels, his arms glowing with divine energy.

Co-host: Jewels? I thought he was supposed to be training!

Neev: He bowed to his older brothers with love and respect…
And Draupadi? She stood silently, watching with tears in her eyes.
Arjuna gave her the jewels he’d brought, and she welcomed him with a smile.

Co-host (softly):
Aww, how sweet! Finally, the family was whole again.

Neev:
That night, they sat around the fire.
Arjuna told them about Lord Shiva, Indra, the Pashupata Astra, and all the blessings he had received.

Co-host (playfully):
And Bhima was probably like — “Cool weapons. Now can we go and CRUSH the Kauravas?”

Neev (laughs):
Almost! But just then, Sage Narada arrived — glowing, mysterious as ever.
 He had a warning:
“These divine weapons,” he said, “are not for display. They must only be used with purpose… and never out of anger.”

The Pandavas nodded. This was no ordinary power — it came with great responsibility.

Co-host (mock solemn):
 Okay, Uncle Ben.

Neev (chuckling):
Wrong universe — but same vibe.

Meanwhile…

Far away in Hastinapura, news of Arjuna’s return reached the Kaurava court.
 Dhritarashtra trembled with fear.

Co-host:
Haha. He knows what Arjuna is capable of.

Neev (serious tone):
 But Duryodhana, Karna, and Shakuni?
 They just laughed.
They wanted to see the Pandavas in exile — to mock them.
 To humiliate them further.

Co-host (grim):
 Big mistake.

Neev:
A big mistake indeed. Because what happens next… is not what they expected.

Neev (calmly setting the scene):
One day, the stillness of Dwaitavana was broken.
From afar, dust rose into the air… war cries echoed… and hooves pounded the earth.

Co-host (curious):

Dwaitavana was near the banks of the Saraswati — a sacred river that is to have once flowed through the northwestern plains of India, but later disappeared beneath the earth."

So — who’s showing up now? Another rishi with a moral quiz?

Neev (smirking):
 Not quite.
It was Duryodhana — with his brothers, Shakuni, Karna, and a whole royal entourage.
And they weren’t here to make peace.

Co-host: That would be expecting too much of them

Neev:

They claimed it was just a royal picnic…
But really? They came to mock the Pandavas in exile.
To show off their wealth, their comfort, their laughter — while the Pandavas lived in simple huts.

Co-host (with exaggerated disdain):
 Classic villain behavior.
"Let’s go bully our cousins in the forest and bring snacks."

Neev (deadpan):
But their “picnic” didn’t go as planned.
At the nearby lake, Chitrasena, the Gandharva chief from Indra's court, had already set up camp.

When Duryodhana’s men tried to drive them out, Chitrasena fought back hard.
Magic arrows, celestial weapons, the whole deal.

Co-host (mock gasp):
 Lemme guess — Duryodhana lost?

Neev (grinning):
 Oh, completely.
He was captured — along with his brothers and even the women of his court.
 Tied up. Humiliated. Begging.

Co-host: Yay! Justice! Didn’t Karna and Shakuni run away? How brave of them!!!

Neev: Back in the Pandava camp, Bhima heard the cries for help and said —

Neev (mocking tone, as Bhima):
“hoho! The great Duryodhana finally got what he deserved!”

Co-host (as Bhima):
 “Let’s bring popcorn and watch!”

Neev (serious again):
 But Yudhishthira didn’t smile.

He said —
“Even if he came here to humiliate us… he is still our cousin.
A Kaurava prince cannot remain a prisoner.
Free him. Show him we are not like him.”

Co-host (dryly):
There goes Yudhishtira again — being noble and all.

Neev:
So Arjuna and Bhima set off.
They met Chitrasena and bowed respectfully.
The Gandharva chief welcomed them, and released Duryodhana and his people without a fight.

Co-host:
Wait — why did Chitrasena even capture him in the first place?

Neev:
 Good question.
He told them he was sent by Indra himself — to protect the Pandavas from humiliation.
Duryodhana had crossed the line… and the gods had responded.

Co-host (quietly):
Aah! Even the heavens had seen enough.

Neev (calmly):
So Chitrasena returned to Amaravati —
 Mission complete.

Co-host (genuinely impressed):
 And Yudhishthira?

Neev (softly, with warmth):
He didn’t just forgive Duryodhana — he spoke to him like… a big brother.

He said, “You could’ve stayed with us. You didn’t have to come here to gloat.”
Then he smiled and added, “Give my regards to the elders in Hastinapura.”

Co-host (quietly):
 Oof. That must’ve stung.

Neev (dry):
 Yeah.
 Getting rescued by your enemies…
Thanking them in front of your friends and your wives…
Not a good day for Duryodhana.

Co-host:
 Bet Karna was squirming too.

Neev:
 He was.
He’d fled the battle — and now he was ashamed.
But instead of learning anything from it…
 He made a vow.
To one day wipe away this humiliation.

Co-host:
So instead of fixing their mistakes…
 They doubled down?

Neev:
Exactly. There’s a Sanskrit proverb “vinaash kale viprat budhhi”. It means that when destruction is near, a person makes foolish or counterproductive decisions, often as a result of pride, greed, or jealousy.

Neev (peacefully):
The next few days passed quietly in Kamyaka forest.
The Pandavas and Draupadi had settled into their routine — fetching water, sharing stories, and living simply.
 Not easy… but peaceful.

Co-host (warmly):
 And they had each other.
Plus their wise priest, Dhaumya, who stayed by their side through thick and thin.

Neev (with a chill):
But peace never lasts long in this story.
One day… a royal chariot thundered down the forest path.

Co-host (curious):
Another visitor? Please tell me this one's not evil.

Neev:
 Meet Jayadratha.
King of Sindhu. Married to Dushala - So Brother-in-law to the Kauravas.
 And… a total creep.

Co-host (sarcastic):
And — he’s here to ruin everyone's day!

Neev:
 Exactly.
As his procession moved through the trees, Jayadratha’s eyes fell on a figure near the hermitage.

Co-host (in awe):
 Draupadi.

Neev:
 Yes.
 And he was stunned.
He sent a soldier to find out who this radiant woman was.

Co-host (mocking tone):
OK - I am surprised he didn’t recognize her, had they never met?

Neev (firmly):
Maybe not.   When Jayadratha learned her name… he still didn’t back off.Jayadratha strolled up and said,
“You don’t belong in this forest.
Come with me. Be my queen.”

Co-host (fuming):
EXCUSE me? Random proposal! He is weird.

Neev (sharply, channeling Draupadi):
 “I am Draupadi.
Wife of the Pandavas. Daughter of kings.
 How dare you?”

Co-host (angrily):
 Let him have it, Draupadi!

Neev:
 But Jayadratha didn’t listen.
He dragged her toward his chariot — and forced her in.

Co-host: Ugh! What’s with all these Kauravas and their relatives - dragging poor Draupadi all the time

Neev (urgently):
 Draupadi screamed.
Dhaumya rushed out — robes flying — trying to stop the chariot.
 But it was too fast.
Jayadratha sped away into the forest, with Draupadi trapped.

Co-host (shaken):
Didn’t he realize…she was married to five strong men?

Neev (cold):
 He knew.
 He just didn’t care.

Neev:
Back at the ashram, the Pandavas had just returned.
Draupadi’s maid ran to them, breathless —
 Telling them what happened.

Co-host (as Bhima, enraged):
Bet Bhima was enraged! WHAT?! He kidnapped her?!
Let’s go crush him!

Neev (as Arjuna, determined):
And Arjuna was like No speeches. Just arrows.

Neev:
They sprinted through the trees — Bhima and Arjuna, fire in their hearts.
Ahead of them, they spotted Dhaumya — still chasing, still furious.

Co-host: I thought Sage Dhaumya was old. Turns out he’s a sprinter.

Neev (with intensity):
Pandavas caught up. Jayadratha’s army crumbled.
Most of his soldiers were slain — the rest, fleeing into the trees.

Co-host (grimly):
Should’ve packed for failure, not a honeymoon.

Neev (angrily):
And what did Jayadratha do when Bhima and Arjuna caught up with him?

He threw Draupadi from the chariot.
Like she was… baggage.

Co-host (furious):
Oh no! Coward. That’s even worse!

Neev:
Draupadi hit the ground, bruised — but still burning with fury.
Bhima charged forward, fist clenched, ready to end him.

(as Bhima):
“You dare harm my queen?! Your life ends now!

Neev (snapping to serious tone):
 But Arjuna held him back.
 “Not yet,” he said.
 “Let’s take him to Yudhishthira.”

Co-host: Well, Yudhishthira is just going to let him go.

Neev:
Jayadratha, now a trembling mess, was dragged to the Pandava camp.
And there, Yudhishthira did something unexpected.
 He said —

Neev (as Yudhishthira, calm but firm):
“This punishment is not mine to decide.
 Let Draupadi choose.”

Co-host (quietly):
Aah! Well at least he didn’t get all sappy about “dharma”

Neev:
Draupadi stood before them all — blood on her elbow, fire in her eyes.

Co-host (as Draupadi, sharp and bitter):
“Have you married me only to watch me be insulted again and again?
Is this what your vows mean?”

Co-host: Oooh! That’s sharp! She’s got a point!

Neev:
 Yudhishthira bowed his head.
 She was right.
 But he said gently —

Neev (as Yudhishthira):
“Jayadratha is married to Dushala… our cousin.
Our sister. Let your punishment carry justice — not revenge.”

Co-host (softening):
And Even in rage… Draupadi listened.

Neev:
 She took a breath.
 Then said —

Neev (as Draupadi):
 “Fine.
Let his head be shaved — but leave five tufts of hair.
Let him return like that.
Shamed. Marked. Remembered.”

Co-host: Haha! Make him bald? But why leave 5 tufts?

Neev:
To represent the five brothers.
Jayadratha, head patchy and pride shattered, was released.
He rode back to Hastinapura — humiliated… but alive.

Neev (low and steady):
Jayadratha rode away from the Pandava camp…
head bowed, hair in five ridiculous tufts,
pride shattered into a thousand pieces.

Co-host (dryly):
Definitely not the look you want when you're married to a princess.

Neev:
 And not just any princess.
Dushala — sister of Duryodhana, daughter of Dhritarashtra.
How was he going to explain this…
to her? To her entire royal family?

Neev:
He didn’t go back to Hastinapura.
He didn’t return home to Sindhu.
Instead… he stopped at Gangadwar — near the foothills of the Himalayas.

Co-host (quietly curious):
That’s where the Ganga was believed to descend from heaven, right?

Neev:
 Yes.
And there, beside the sacred river…
 Jayadratha began to meditate.

Co-host: Aah the quintessential solution for seeking revenge - meditation

Neev (softly):
 Days passed.
 Then weeks.
Jayadratha sat motionless — his fury burning inside.

And then —
 Lord Shiva appeared.

Co-host (in awe):
Whoa. He got a Shiva darshan? Just like that?

Neev:
Well… it was a pretty serious tapasya.
And Shiva, as always, was ready to listen.

Neev (as Shiva — calm, grounded):
 “Ask your boon, Jayadratha.”

Neev (angrily — as Jayadratha):
 “I want revenge!
 Let me defeat the Pandavas.
All five of them — and their army!”

Co-host: And Shiva is going to grant it just like that - knowing this is wrong.

Neev (as Shiva):
 “That… I cannot grant.
Arjuna has already received my Pashupatastra.
 And Krishna stands with them.
 They cannot be defeated.

But —
 for one day
I grant you the power to hold back four Pandavas in battle.”

Co-host:
That’s it? Just… delay them? How’s that going to help him?

Neev:
 Yes, Just delay.
But even that… would one day change everything.

Neev:
 Jayadratha bowed.
 He had hoped for more.
 But this… would do.
 He would wait.
 He would strike.
And next time — he wouldn’t be the one walking away in shame.

Neev (grinning):
Revenge plots are stacking up like firewood before winter.
 Jayadratha wants payback.
 Karna’s still brooding.
And Duryodhana? He’s not done scheming yet.

Co-host:
 But the Pandavas?
 They’re stronger.
 Wiser.
And a lot more patient than their enemies think.

Neev:
Next week, we meet a new villain.
One who doesn’t fight with swords —
but with sweet words, clever tricks, and… maybe a secret or two.

Neev (with intrigue):
Get ready for Episode 10 — where the exile gets a visitor…
And a new danger begins to unfold.
 See you next time!
