NEEV:
Hey there, myth explorers! Welcome back to Mythical Masala with Neev!
CO-HOST:
If you missed the last episode—hit pause and go listen! Because this is Part 2 of Krishna’s epic youth story.
NEEV:
Last time, we danced in Vrindavan, played Holi with the gopis, and watched Krishna destroy some terrifying demons.
CO-HOST:
But just when it seemed like all was peaceful… Narada paid a little visit to Kansa.
NEEV:
A very dramatic visit. Because now, Kansa’s evil master plan is about to begin.
And let’s just say… it’s a wild ride from here.
CO-HOST:
From a terrifying demon horse to an arena showdown, and a whole new city built in the ocean...
NEEV:
...Krishna’s journey from boy to hero continues—right now. Let’s go!
NEEV:
Previously, we saw Kansa lose it when Narada spilled the tea about Krishna’s epic adventures. Well… he’s not just mad now—he’s plotting.
And his next move? Pure villain mode.
CO-HOST:
Here we go! Kansa’s cooking up something really evil, isn’t he?
NEEV:
Oh yeah. First, he announced a grand yajna—a sacred fire ceremony—in Mathura. Sounds peaceful, right? But nope. It was just bait to lure Krishna and Balarama into a trap.
CO-HOST:
Because nothing says “divine ritual” like... a secret wrestling death match??
NEEV:
Exactly! Kansa planned to pit them against his strongest wrestlers—Chanura and Mushtika.
But he didn’t stop there.
CO-HOST:
Of course not. This is Kansa we're talking about. What’s next—demons?
NEEV:
Bingo. Before Krishna could even leave Vrindavan, Kansa sent Keshi—a terrifying demon disguised as a wild horse.
His mission? Trample Krishna before he could even step foot in Mathura.
Co-host:
But Krishna, calm as ever, faced the raging beast — and literally tore him apart.
From then on, Krishna earned a new name: Keshava — the one who destroyed Keshi.
Neev (softer tone):
That was when Akrura, Kansa’s messenger, arrived in Vrindavan. His real job? Bring Krishna and Balarama to Mathura.
As the news spread, all of Vrindavan seemed to freeze.
Co-host: The cowherds were heartbroken. The gopis sobbed. Even the animals seemed to stop singing. And Radha… Radha’s sorrow was silent but deep. Her dearest friend, her Krishna, was leaving.
Neev:
Krishna and Balarama, holding back their own tears, stepped onto Akrura’s chariot.
The whole village followed the wheels, not ready to let go.
Co-host: As the chariot moved further, the world seemed a little less bright.
Neev:
But the story wasn’t done yet — not even close.
As the chariot passed the Yamuna River, Akrura stopped to bathe.
And that’s when he saw something… miraculous.
He looked into the water — and saw Krishna and Balarama standing in it.
But when he turned back to the chariot — they were still sitting there.
Co-host:
Wait… two Krishnas? Or a divine optical illusion?
Neev:
Both. Because when Akrura dove back in, he saw Lord Vishnu reclining on Sheshnag, the celestial serpent.
And beside Him — the form of Sheshnag transforming into Balarama.
Akrura fell to his knees. His doubts disappeared.
“These aren’t just children,” he whispered. “They are divinity itself.”
Co-host:
That vision was like a cosmic trailer for what’s coming next.
Neev:
Yup. And it changed Akrura forever.
He stepped back onto the chariot, no longer just a messenger — but a witness to the divine.
Neev:
By the time Krishna and Balarama arrived in Mathura, Kansa had his entire villain lineup prepped and ready: massive wrestlers, a killer elephant, demon backup, and even a bow-worship ceremony—because why not add some extra drama?
Co-host:
Right? Like, “Let’s worship this giant bow first, then see if someone dares break it…” That’s totally not bait for Krishna.
Neev:
But Krishna didn’t just break it—he snapped it like a twig. In front of the whole crowd.
KRAACK!
And that was it. The arena, full of spectators, went totally silent.
Then, from Kansa’s throne came the shout:
“Attack them! Now!”
Co-host:
Cue: Total chaos.
Neev:
Out came Chanura and Mushtika —the two enormous wrestlers who made pillars look short.
Their muscles had muscles. Their muscles probably had names.
Co-host:
And they were thinking probably, “this is gonna be easy. Just two teens from the village, right?”
Neev: And just in case that wasn’t enough, Kansa also unleashed his trump card: the giant elephant Kubalayapida.
Co-host:
Because clearly, a regular-sized angry animal just wasn’t dramatic enough.
Neev:
But Krishna and Balarama? Cool as ever.
Together, they took down the raging elephant first — grabbed its tusks like trophies and flung them across the arena like boomerangs.
Then came the main event:
Wrestling match of the millennium.
Chanura charged at Krishna — and Krishna spun him around so fast, it looked like he was doing a divine breakdance.
Co-host:
A hundred spins! That’s like the mythological Beyblade.
Neev:
And then—BOOM! Chanura hit the ground. Done.
Meanwhile, Balarama faced Mushtika and ended the fight with just one punch.
Co-host:
One. That’s it? If this were a video game, Balarama would’ve just hit “FATALITY.”
Kansa’s “master plan” was falling apart faster than you can say “uninstall villain mode.”
Neev:
There was total… silence.
Kansa, still clinging to his throne, roared,
“Guards! Chain them! Lock them up!”
But before anyone could even blink—Krishna leapt off the arena platform like a divine superhero, stormed toward Kansa, and grabbed him…
Co-host:
…by the hair! Oh snap.
Neev:
Kansa, the terror of Mathura, the nightmare of Devaki and Vasudeva, the guy who tried everything to avoid this moment—
—was hurled to the ground. One final blow. And it was over.
Kansa was no more.
His brother Sumali tried to avenge him—but Balarama handled that faster than a lightning bolt.
And just like that, the fear that had loomed over Mathura for years… vanished.
Co-host:
You could almost hear the city breathe again. Finally, the prophecy was fulfilled.
Neev:
Exactly. All of Mathura rejoiced.
Krishna finally embraced his real parents — Devaki and Vasudeva — for the first time since birth.
Co-host: And guess who came rushing from Vrindavan? Nanda and Yashoda, to see their boys and share the joy.
Neev:
So did you know Kansa had two wives? Well, those two weren’t just mourning his defeat… they were angry. And who did they go crying to?
Co-host:
Their dad—who just happened to be the most terrifying warlord this side of ancient India: Jarasandha, ruler of Magadha!
Neev:
Exactly! When his daughters came stomping home like “Krishna cheated, boo hoo,” Jarasandha didn’t waste time asking questions.
He vowed revenge. And not the kind where you just unfollow someone. This guy brought out the whole “raise-a-demon-army-and-destroy-a-city” playbook.
Co-host:
Seventeen. Seventeen attacks on Mathura!
Neev:
Yep! Krishna and Balarama beat him back every time—but Krishna never killed Jarasandha. Wanna know why?
Co-host:
Oh, I know this! It was like Krishna’s hack for cleaning up evil faster.
Neev:
Yup! Krishna figured, “Why chase evil all over the world when it comes knocking at your door?” Jarasandha kept bringing his demon buddies straight to Mathura. Boom. Two-for-one battles!
Co-host:
But seventeen battles took a toll. The Yadavas were getting tired. Their treasury was empty, and even Balarama was like, “Krishna, this is getting serious…”
Neev:
And it got worse. Jarasandha wasn’t just acting solo anymore. He started collecting allies like Thanos collecting Infinity Stones—kings and demons all ganging up against Krishna and the Yadava clan.
The message from Jarasandha was clear:
“Hand over Krishna and Balarama, or face total destruction.”
Co-host:
Rude. Also: didn’t work.
Neev:
So what did Krishna do? Plot twist—He didn’t go full superhero mode.
Instead… He planned a move.
Co-host:
Wait, wait—a move? You mean literally?
Neev:
Yes, he ran away! That’s what people thought. Krishna proposed leaving Mathura and building a new capital where no demon alliance could touch them.
Co-host:
Even King Ugrasena was like, “Uh… build a city? Overnight??” That's not exactly a Home Depot project.
Ugrasena, Krishna’s grandfather and now King of Mathura
Neev:
But this is Krishna we’re talking about. He called Vishwakarma, the architect of the gods. And guess what? They built a whole new city... in the sea.
Co-host:
Oh right, Dwarka! A golden city floating in the ocean, complete with fortress walls, sparkling towers, and magical ocean views. Today, The ancient India city of Dwarka, is said to have sunk beneath the Arabian Sea on the western coast of India.Underwater archaeologists are looking for the foundations of its city walls to prove its existence.
Neev:
To get the land, Krishna even prayed to Samudradeva, the Sea God, who blessed the project. And by morning, the citizens of Mathura woke up not in a city under attack—
—but in a brand-new home protected by the ocean itself.
Co-host:
So yeah, they called Krishna Ranchod—the one who ran from battle. But really? He just outsmarted a warlord and saved his people.
Neev:
Which is way cooler than smashing stuff, if you ask me.
Neev:
So far, Krishna’s defeated demons, outwitted kings, and built a floating city. But now, we come to… a royal romance! 💖
Co-host:
Ooooh! Love is in the air once again. does it involve a princess?
Neev:
Yup. Princess Rukmini of Vidarbha. She was smart, strong-willed, and had basically made up her mind from childhood: “I’m going to marry Krishna. No debates.”
Co-host:
But let me guess—her family had other ideas.
Neev:
Bingo. Her dad, King Bhishmaka, actually liked Krishna, but he couldn’t openly support him because of… drumroll… Jarasandha. That guy again!
Co-host:
Ugh. The villain that keeps showing up like a bad pop-up ad. He’s a royal pain in the…
Neev:
Yeah we know. Well. so Rukmini’s brother, Rukmi, too hated Krishna. So he arranged for Rukmini to marry—get this—Shishupal. Yep. That guy. Same Shishupal who was tight with Jarasandha.
Co-host:
Wow, sibling betrayal level: These two were at Draupadi’s swayamvara, right?
Neev:
Yes, But Rukmini wasn’t giving up. She sent her best friend Sunanda to Krishna with a secret note. It was heartfelt and bold. She wrote:
Co-host: "My Lord, I already consider You my husband. If You do not come for me, I shall not live. Please come and take me away—before it’s too late. I’ll be at the temple of Goddess Parvati before the wedding. That’s your chance!"
Straight out of a Bollywood film. Or actually, the Mahabharata cinematic universe.
Neev:
Krishna read that note and didn’t even hesitate. He hit the road—fast. Balarama followed with reinforcements in case things went south.
Neev:
On the wedding day, Rukmini stepped out of the temple and looked around. No Krishna. Her heart sank.
But as she climbed into her chariot… a familiar voice whispered, “I’ve come for you, my love.”
It was Krishna! He lifted her onto his chariot and sped off like a mythological action hero.
Co-host:
And cue the angry brothers, right?
Neev:
Oh yeah. Rukmi and Jarasandha’s men chased them down. But Balarama and his army fought them off like legends. Rukmi, determined to stop them, caught up—but Krishna defeated him.
Co-host:
And l guess he didn’t kill him?
Neev:
Nope. Krishna spared his life but gave him the ultimate big-brother humiliation: chopped off half his moustache and half his hair. Ouch.
Co-host:
Haha! Legendary-level roast.
Neev:
Then, with Rukmini safe, Krishna brought her back to Dwarka—and married her in a joyful celebration. The queen of his heart had finally joined him.
NEEV:
Whoa! What a ride! Krishna’s youth was packed with more action and heart than a whole season of superhero shows.
CO-HOST:
No kidding. And that was just the last two episode of the whole season
Neev: That’s right! Folk! This marks the end of Season Two of Mythical Masala with Neev!
CO-HOST: We’ve met heroes, villains, celestial sages, and divine cows. We’ve danced through Raas Leelas, dodged demon attacks, and even watched a royal elopement!
Neev: But the best is still ahead. We will be diving straight into the Mahabharata—where Krishna becomes a game-changer in a whole new way. Thank you Raahi for closing off Season 2 with me.
Co-host: It has been wonderful to share Krishna’s pranks and stories with you all. Can’t wait for what’s to come next season!
NEEV:
So stay tuned! We’ll be back after a short summer break with new episodes, bigger battles, and even deeper wisdom from the legends of old.
CO-HOST:
Make sure to follow, share, and tell everyone—your friends, your cousins, even your history teacher who thinks mythology is boring...
NEEV:
Because this is where ancient stories come alive—with all the mythical mayhem, masala, and magic…
